Mister Universe 2024-25, Jonathan Berry from Australia, continued his India tour with a heartwarming visit to the city of Nawabs—Lucknow. Known not just for his charisma and global recognition, Berry’s humanitarian spirit was on full display as he spent quality time with different communities across the city. His visit was not only a celebration of cultural exchange but also a reflection of his commitment to social causes and inclusive dialogue.

One of the most touching moments of his trip was his meeting with acid attack survivors at the iconic Sheroes Hangout Café. Located in the heart of Lucknow, the café is run by brave women who have turned their trauma into strength and empowerment. Jonathan interacted with the survivors, listened to their stories of resilience, and praised their courage and entrepreneurial spirit. He shared how their determination inspired him deeply and promised to amplify their voices on a global stage.

Berry also visited slum children under the care of the “Innovation for Change” initiative. The children welcomed him with enthusiasm, sharing songs, dance, and stories of how education and mentorship have transformed their lives. Jonathan applauded the efforts of the grassroots team and emphasized the importance of education and empathy in building a better future. The visit left a lasting impression on both the children and the visiting dignitary.

The tour concluded with a cultural interaction with some of Lucknow’s eminent personalities, including Prof. Sabra Habib, known for her contributions to literature and education, and Nawab Masood Abdullah, a descendant of the city’s royal lineage. In an engaging discussion about Lucknow’s history, art, and evolving identity, Jonathan expressed admiration for the city’s regal heritage and vibrant culture. His visit highlighted not just the glitz of a pageant title, but the genuine drive to connect, learn, and inspire.
