Widely appreciated for his impeccable comic timing and acting talent, Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor is one powerhouse of entertainment. 2 years ago, the actor made a life-changing decision of becoming a father through surrogacy and was blessed with a beautiful baby boy, Lakssya! For Tusshar it was a tough call to make, to become a single parent but he received immense support from his family, friends and from his close confidant and mentor, Prakash Jha!
Recently, on Zee TV’s chat show JuzzBaatt…Sangeen Se Namkeen Tak’s grand finale, celebrity guests Tushar and the graceful Mandira Bedi were seen having a heart-to-heart conversation with the suave host Rajeev Khandelwal. The two celebrities packed in a huge dose of entertainment in the finale episode of the show with their vibrant presence and revealed some well-kept secrets from their past. Tusshar Kapoor opened up about being a single parent and how he enjoys fatherhood immensely. He also shared how filmmaker Prakash Jha played a vital role in convincing Tusshar to consider the idea of single parenting.
Tushar Kapoor said, “I was in my mid-30s and didn’t want to get married but I was also stressed about starting a family. Once, while having a conversation with Prakash Jha, he questioned me on when I was planning to get married. That’s when he suggested that I should think about being a single parent. The idea caught my attention and I started seriously thinking about it. It was after I completed all the procedures and got the required legal approvals that I finally decided to break the news to my family. My father is very conservative, so I decided to tell my mother first. My parents accepted my decision happily and have been very supportive.”
A proud father now, Tusshar loves spending most of his time with his little one and is extremely happy with his decision.
Apart from making major revelations, Tusshar and Mandira also indulged in a game of rapid fire with Rajeev and the duo also played charades which left everyone in splits. Both of them also joined Rajeev for a cake-cutting ceremony and concluded the season on a high note. Mandira and Tusshar spent rest of the evening dancing, pulling each other’s leg, reminiscing old memories and entertaining the host and the viewers thoroughly with their unabashed funny antics.
