Zee TV’s popular dance reality how Dance India Dance has been entertaining the audience across countries, week-on week with magical performances. As the show reaches its semi-finale week, the competition has started heating up and the contestants are pushing their limits to not only impress the masters but also to win the nation’s hearts and secure their position in the Grand Finale. This weekend, the audience is in for a pleasant surprise as the Queen of Bollywood, Rani Mukherjee will be seen on the show to promote her much awaited come-back film, Hichki and motivate the contestants to put their best foot forward.
Contestants welcomed Rani Mukherjee to a medley of her most popular songs and shook a leg with her to the super-hit song ‘Koi Mil Gaya’. Semi-finalists Nainika, Shivam, Sanket, Sujan, Deepak, Sachin and Piyush presented spectacular performances which impressed celebrity judge Rani Mukherjee thoroughly. Rani also danced to the tunes of her song ‘Aati Kya Khandala’ along with the contestants, masters and Grand Master Mithun Da. Moreover, Mithun Da shed some light on the special bond he shares with Rani. Elaborating on it, he said, “Rani’s maasi, Debashree Roy has been Bengal’s number one actress and I can never forget how she supported me and fed me during my struggling days. I have been fed at her house and for me, Rani Mukherjee will always remain that small little girl.” Hearing this, Rani promptly replied, “That is why, I fondly address Mithun Da as my Mama and truly love him.”
Whilst on the show, Rani also spoke about her film Hichki and encouraged the dancing stars to perform well in their finale. Viewers will also witness magnificent performances by the top 7 performers. While Deepak Hulsure’s daredevil act to ‘Hawayaein’ impressed Rani Mukherjee thoroughly and fetched him great compliments, Sanket’s act to ‘Mere Bina’ enthralled the judges and masters alike. Capturing everyone’s heart was Sachin Sharma’s romantic performance to ‘Tera Chehra’ which mesmerized Rani Mukherjee completely and created a beautiful atmosphere.
