As Love Me India, &TV’s live singing reality show for kids, gears up to be on air soon, it has an exciting line-up of contestants’ ready to compete for the title of the ultimate singing superstar chosen by none other than the audience themselves! One of the contestants that has received the nation’s love is 10-year-old Jashanpreet Singh who hails from Patiala, Punjab and is a part of Navraj Hans’s North zone, making it to the top 48 contestants with which the show will open.

Jashanpreet is a next-generation Gurbani singer whose family has strong roots in Gurbani singing for years. They have created a distinct mark for themselves and passed on this talent to the children of the family as well to ensure the legacy continues. His father Sachdev Singh who has grown up singing Gurbani in Gurudwaras was keen for his son to inherit these teachings. While Jashan started singing since he was 6 years old, it has only been a year since he has started learning music which he has beautifully picked up as both a skill and passion.

Apart from singing in his emotion-filled voice, the naughty and cute Jashan also plays instruments like the tabla and harmonium brilliantly. The young singing star in the making adores and religiously follows the works of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and himself likes to sing Sufi songs.

Talking about Jashan being part of his first reality show, his father Sukhdev Singh said, “It’s an extremely proud moment for me. God has been very gracious to have blessed my son with such a beautiful voice. Being a part of such a great platform and learning from the gurus in music will help take him a long way. Jashan is the naughtiest, yet the pampered one in the family, but when it comes to singing he leaves aside all the mischief and completely immerses himself. I hope he makes his way ahead successfully in the world of singing.”
