Bringing her exceptional knack back to small screen, Deepshikha is all set to effortlessly bring her style and essence with yet another negative character in &TV’s new fiction show, Main Bhi Ardhangini.
Royal in her style and in her approach, Deepshikha will essay the role of Nilambari who although might seem naïve to the world, has a cunning mind that wishes to control all the property and wealth. With her eyes set on the prize, she uses her manipulative nature and bitter-sweet conversations to make a strong place in the hearts and in the minds of her family.
An independent and stylish woman herself, Deepshikha finds a similarity with her character. “I believe I have a strong aura and hence find it easy to resonate to strong female centric characters. I am impressed with the look and style of the character and the way she will be presenting herself in the show has an element of newness which builds the excitement within me to play this character. Moreover, I am glad we have head out from the busy life of Mumbai to shoot in Jaipur. I look forward to that experience.” said Deepshikha.
With several negative roles to her credit, the actress refuses to shy away from this zone as she brilliantly sways the audience with her art. Commenting upon her love for negative roles, the actress said, “Being the first choice for a negative role used to affect me at first, but as I grew as an actor, I realized negative roles are always more challenging and most loved by the audience. Their unpredictable nature has always maintained an element of curiosity amongst the viewers and it’s their actions that the audience looks forward to watching. I realized I don’t have the ‘bechaari’ look and my powerful personality can be best complimented in a grey shade. The constant challenge and the fun that each character brought is what developed a love for negative roles within me.”
While grey shades might surely be Deepshikha’s strength, the actress has an urge to keep exploring across genres. “I would love to do comedy roles because I believe I have a good sense of humour too. That part of my talent I feel has not been explored at large as yet and I am hoping to get many more opportunities that give me a chance to discover more on that front.”
Set against the beautiful backdrop of Jaipur, Main Bhi Ardhangini brings together a lovestory that delves into the life of Madhav, a righteous and obedient son of a cunning step mother who wears a veil of a loving and caring mother to him. Depicting an invaluable bond between Madhav (Avinash Sachdeva) and his better half, Vaidehi (Aditi Rawat), Main Bhi Ardhangini will give a true glimpse of the selfless effort and unconditional love that Vaidehi showers as a true ‘Ardhangini’. On the other hand, showcasing the eternal love of the spirit of Madhav’s first wife, Chitra (Anjali Priya), the story will portray the endeavours that she takes to keep them together and shield them against any source of evil even after death.
