1. How do you feel about winning the season 3 of India’s Best Dramebaaz?
I am feeling very happy winning the Golden trophy and I cannot contain my excitement. It feels good when your hard work pays off. This is the most important moment for me. I have learned so much with India’s Best Dramebaaz, the journey on the show has been amazing and I will cherish all these moments throughout my life. My parents are so proud of me and have not stopped smiling ever since. We plan to celebrate this victory with my friends and family once I am back home.
2. What were the problems and barriers you came across during this journey?
Learning different languages and dialects was very difficult. Recently for the Bhojpuri act that I performed, it took me some time to get the dialogue delivery right given my mother tongue is Marathi. But with practice and patience, I managed to get it right. Similarly, performing different acts was challenging as each demands a certain expression and body language apart from dialogue delivery. But with constant guidance of mentors and judges, I was able to perform so many different acts such as comedy, mytho, emotional etc more confidently.
3. How did the thought of acting cross your mind?
I always loved dancing and if you see every dance act involves a bit of drama too. That is where when I thought of giving acting a shot. I started watching television shows and even YouTube videos to learn and practice. I managed to learn quite a bit by just watching these videos only and then thought of auditioning for India’s Best Dramebaaz. Once I got selected, the rest was history.
4. How tough was the competition?
The competition has been very tough and extremely neck to neck. Every contestant had their strong points and had mastered particular genres. There was always a healthy competition throughout the journey and everyone was very supportive of one another. I have made a lot of friends on this show, in the last four months.
5. How did you feel when you heard that Sonali Bendre had sent a message to everyone?
When Shantanu bhaiya announced that there’s a video message from Sonali mam, I got extremely excited and wanted to know what’s there in that message. When that video was played, I got very upset thinking that she wasn’t with us during the finale. Had she been with us throughout the journey, it would have been even more fun. I just want to wish Sonali mam a very speedy recovery as I am dying to meet her. I really thought that I would get a chance to meet Sonali mam at the finale episode of the show, but that message from her also was very precious for me.
6. How has your entire journey of India’s Best Dramebaaz been?
My entire journey has been extremely beautiful. The judges have been so supportive throughout my stint on the show. They used to have fun and interact with all of us and give us comments that helped all the contestants in improving their acting skills. I’ve tried various genres of acting and that’s been such a great learning for me.
7. What has been your favourite moment on the show?
My favourite moment on this entire journey has been when Omung sir signed me for his next project and Vivek sir sponsored my sister’s entire education. Those two gestures touched my heart and I cannot thank them enough for doing this.
8. What’s the best compliment you’ve received so far?
When Huma mam told me that I’m the only contestant on this show who is a complete package, I was thrilled, and it really boosted my confidence to better myself a week on week. It feels good when one receives compliments such great comments from industry stalwarts like them.
9. Who is your favourite judge?
All three of them are my favourites and it’s unfair to choose only one from them. Each of them has encouraged and supported us a lot.
10. What are your future plans?
I want to grow up and become a very successful actress. Along with acting, I will also balance my passion for dance. When I grow up, I also want to help young kids who are struggling to fulfill their dreams and don’t have that kind of support from their family and society.
11. What will you do with the prize money you’ve received?
I will it save it for my future and use it for my family.
