Ever since her Hindi film debut with Sargam in 1979, the gorgeous veteran Bollywood actress, Jaya Prada made a huge name for herself amongst the Bollywood circles. Recreating the same magic of her dance once again on &TV’s Perfect Pati, the legendary actress Jaya Prada will be seen delightfully dancing to the tunes of the famous song sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Shabbir Kumar after almost 28 long years. Donning an elegant magenta wedding outfit and beautiful jewellery to match, her celebratory dance in honour of the wedding of her son Pushkar (Ayush Anand) and to be daughter–in–law Vidhita (Sayali Sanjeev) in the show, left the entire cast and crew in awe of her grace. At the age 56, the elegant actress surely knows how to mesmerize her audiences with her graceful moves and eternal youthful energy. Joyfully celebrating the reel occasion, the actress via her dance, paid a birthday tribute to the versatile and ever green Lata Mangeshkar. Commenting about how she felt after performing after so many years on the same song she said, “I have often performed on this song on different occasions ever since it was filmed, but it’s been so long since I danced on it with the same energy, zeal and emotions. It brought back several pleasant memories and I honestly had a wonderful time dancing to one of my own favourites again. I think it is the perfect song to celebrate the bright occasion of Vidhita and Pushkar’s glorious wedding in Perfect Pati. I am glad that my dance performance will be unveiled to the audience on Lataji’s birthday and hope it takes her back in time, reminiscing several memories of this hit song. On her birthday I wish her good health, happiness and love.”
Sharing her ecstatic moment on shaking a leg with the legendary actress and her reel mother-in-law, actress Sayali Sanjeev (Vidhita) said “This is one of the best times I have had while shooting for Perfect Pati and I am going to treasure this moment for my entire life! I honestly couldn’t stop admiring Jaya ma’am as she danced effortlessly and fabulously to the popular number. While I have often been grateful to have had the chance to work with Jaya ma’am, I am also honoured that I had the opportunity to dance with her now, that too to one of her all-time famous Hindi songs. While Vidhita is entering a new phase in her life, I too had a special moment in my life as I shot this scene. I will always be grateful and thankful for this opportunity.”
