Birthdays are always very special and &TV’s High Fever… Dance Ka Naya Tevar made sure that Lara Dutta’s birthday bash will forever hold a special place in her heart. Coming up on 16th April, is former Miss Universe, gifted actor and a devoted mother – Lara Dutta’s 40th birthday. Dedicating the episode to a theme close to her heart – Bollywood, High Fever gave a very special surprise to the birthday girl. Never seen before on your television screen, the stage was lit by the presence of a gorgeous little star – Saira, Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi’s 6-year-old angel.

Under the keen eye of celebrated choreographer, director and actor Farah Khan, the contestants put in their best ‘Bollywood foot’ forward. Amidst, the performances, Ahmed Khan, Dana Alexa and Farah Khan (they knew about Saira coming to surprise her mother) began to talk about ‘a special visitor’ waiting back stage for a call out from the judges. Clueless about who the visitor was, Lara played along and called out the visitor – as soon the curtains lifted came a gorgeous little girl with her face hidden behind balloons saying, “Happy Birthday Maa”, but there’s no stopping from a mother recognizing her baby. Lara instantly recognized the visitor, with her eyes full of tears got up and rushed off to stage to her daughter. With everyone caught by her charm and singing of the birthday song, Ahmed Khan announced the second surprise. Between all the guesses off what the surprise would be, began an AV with Mahesh Bhupathi – world famous tennis player and Lara Dutta’s better half in real life; sharing a very special and romantic message for the birthday girl. Celebrations ended with Lara Dutta cutting a cake and Saira’s special dance performance on the song “Swag Se Swagat”.

Lara’s eyes were glittering with tears of happiness, thanking the whole team, she cut her birthday cake and expressed her joy in beautiful words. She said, “There have been a lot of sets where I have celebrated my birthday and in a way people with whom I shoot become my family. I don’t look at birthday’s very differently; but if it’s a working birthday its all the more special, and I hope God always blesses me the same way, that I am always working on my birthday. But this was very special, I have NEVER!! EVER!! had my daughter be a part of anything on set, so this was definitely a first. Honestly, I have mixed feelings right now, I don’t know how to feel about it; but it’s always amazing to get a chance to see her, especially on a day that I know that I am gonna be at the studio the whole day and there is no chance to see her, so it’s been really special. Also, Mahesh has never said any of those things that he said in the AV, to me, like when I am there with him so it’s like a big thing that he said all such sweet things on national television.  But, I am really happy and excited and very thankful of both &TVand High Fever for doing this for me”.
