Saumya Tandon is very well known as the whiplashing, independent Anita Bhabhi or Gori Mem, who knows to show who’s the boss in &TV’s Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! Recently the cast shot for a special episode in Goa where the actress surprised everyone present with a bold new avatar. Well all we can say is it was not just the weather that set the temperatures soaring in Goa! 

Says the actress, “When I got briefed by the makers on the Goa shoot, I hadn’t imagined that I will go beyond the regular swimming costume with a sarong look. But when I did think over it, I felt I should give this look a contemporary twist. So, I put together this very different costume that included a bandage cropped swim top and high waisted shorts with chiffon transparent slit cover on it. This gave it a dreamy look and just added a lot of oomph to my character.” 

Ask her how the family audience will perceive this and she is quick to reply, “I was very scared to don this look for the very first time on national television but I was confident about the fact that it will look tasteful and appealing. Believe me, the audience will not cringe looking at the outfit I am wearing.” 

She seems to be glowing these days and is certainly looking picture perfect when it comes to her figure. Says Saumya, “I prepared for almost 10 days for this Goa special episode and consciously cut down the intake of carbs in the evening to look in shape and fit into the outfit.”
