Known to have choreographed more than 2000 songs, Saroj Khan aka Masterji has made every Bollywood star dance on her tunes. Holding a special place in the hearts of the audiences, High Fever…Dance Ka Naya Tevar’s stage saw the gracious presence of the dancing legend. With her critical eye for dance, her presence made every dancing soul on the set crave for a perfect score from her. 

The judges Lara Dutta, Ahmed Khan and Dana Alexa were excited to share the panel with this ‘guru’. One of India’s most prominent dancers Saroj Khan, truly beholds the perfect recipe of mastering Bollywood dancing. Talking about how Masterji is a dream to work with for every actor, Lara Dutta shared a beautiful memory of her and Saroj Khan. This memory will take viewers back to the time when Lara Dutta’s first film was on the verge of release and she did her first stage show with Priyanka Chopra. 

Sitting next to the guru that she has always looked up to, Lara got very emotional. With teary eyes and a look of pride she said, “I’ll tell you all, one amazing memory that I have. It was like a dream come true, for me. It was the next day after the show and I was at home. My phone rang, and the number was not saved, I picked the phone and the person said – ‘Hello Lara, this is Saroj Khan’. I froze on the spot. Ma’am told me, ‘I saw your performance on the television and I loved it’. Saroj ji, in my career it was one of the most important phone calls. I cannot imagine what I would have missed if I would have missed that one phone call. It’s an amazing feeling to be complimented by you Saroj ji (smiles)”. 

To which Masterji humbly added, “This is a very bad habit of mine. What to do? Whether I know someone or not, if I see someone dance well, I have to tell them what a good job they have done!”
