On the day of Nahay Khay, after sunrise, the house is first thoroughly cleaned and then after taking a bath with clean water, clean clothes are worn.
The fasting woman or man who performs Chhath prepares gram dal and bottle gourd in pure ghee. Salt is discarded from the very first day of Chhath. Only rock salt can be used. Pumpkin and Arva rice are definitely prepared in the food. By offering to the sun, the fast eats food only once a day. All the members of the house also eat the same.

The food is made completely pure vegetarian only. And in the same way, after completing the first day of Mahaparv Chhath, after completing the bath and eating, on the second day of Chhath i.e. Kharna, the people are engaged in preparations.
